An Intern No More!

An intern in residency is a first year resident. Mike has now completed his first year and is no longer the bottom of the barrel. He completed 12 rotations ranging from OB, internal medicine, psyc, peds, family medicine, and cardiology. It's been a whirlwind year for him as well as our family. He was quite busy but truthfully it wasn't as bad as we anticipated. Usually your intern year is the most demanding (primarly because you know the least),unfortunally he has basically the same schedule for this coming year. I am hoping that the knowledge that he did aquire will help him acomplish things quicker and smoother. Looking back at this past year in South Bend we have had a great time and made some great friends. We have been blessed and despite being so far away from family we have received much love and support. Although Mike was busy we were able to have some good times this past year including; trips to Disney World, Chicago, Indianapolis, Munice (visiting friends), and Utah. On top off all that we have pretty much updated every room in our house (no kidding), the final room is Carson's. We also have had some milestone in our family, no more cribs, no more diapers, and no more sippy cups! We are thankful for the experiences we've has so far and look forward to a few more happy years here.
